Doncic is coming back! Father angrily blasted Mavericks executives for hypocrisy, but everything was positive when he went to the Lakers

On February 3, Beijing time, the Lakers Mavericks and Jazz three-way trade officially announced, Doncic officially joined the Lakers and joined James, and thick eyebrows went to the Mavericks to partner with Irving and Klay. Before the Mavericks and Cavaliers game, Doncic's father, Sasha, spoke to Slovenia's Arena Sport TV about the deal that shocked the world.

Sasha started by talking about the positives. "Luka (Doncic) didn't lose anything in this deal. But it wasn't easy for Luca, moving was never easy, everything went fast. Time will tell, but I'm sure it's good for him, he's going to Los Angeles. It's a great city. The basketball tradition there is amazing. We know the Lakers have a lot of superstars like Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Abdul-Jabbar and many others, so, it's all positive to go there. ”

Still, when it comes to the management of the Lone Ranger, Sasha is still indignant. "The hypocrisy of them (the Mavericks management) in this deal hurt me personally. I don't think Luca deserves to be treated like this. I know he sacrificed a lot. He has a lot of respect for Dallas, he respects the whole city, he helps the kids, goes to the hospital and does charity events is not a problem for him. Last season, he played 100 games, averaging 40 minutes per game, and was constantly packed. I feel like Dallas is really unfair to him. ”

Finally, Sasha revealed that Doncic's injury has largely healed and that he will soon return to play for the Lakers.

"Luka's injuries are almost healed. He's already training, everything is going according to plan, everything is fine. He's going to make his teammates better than they are now. It's going to be more motivation for him, especially in terms of form and physical preparation," Sasha concluded.

So far this season, Doncic has only played 22 games due to injury, averaging 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game, shooting 46.4% from the field and 35.4% from three-point range. The Lakers are currently 28-19 and in fifth place in the West.
