The 76ers officially announced Embiid's season reimbursement! The worst or two consecutive years of truce, Philadelphia will be on the smash to grab Flagg

On March 1, Beijing time, the 76ers officially announced that Embiid will miss all the remaining games of the season. The specific statement is as follows-

The Philadelphia 76ers and Embiid have been consulting top experts about his left knee. After further evaluation, it has been determined that he will no longer be able to compete due to medical reasons and will miss the rest of the season to focus on treatment and rehabilitation. We are working with medical experts to finalize the exact treatment plan and will update the media as more information becomes available. The team and experts will continue to work with Embiid to ensure the best options are found for his long-term health and performance.

Medical expert Jeffries said Embiid's season reimbursement is inevitable and will likely require surgery. The big question is what kind of surgery does he need? Is he a good candidate for a meniscus transplant like Lonzo Bauer? Previously, some experts said that if Embiid undergoes surgery, it could take up to 1-2 years of rehabilitation, which means that it is possible to be reimbursed for two consecutive seasons.

Embiid has been receiving injections in his left knee this season, very frequently. He had previously met with more than a dozen doctors to try to overcome the persistent discomfort and swelling in his left knee. But neither the 76ers team doctor nor the other experts Embiid consulted could come up with a clear and effective plan, and almost every plan could lead to other problems.

Medical expert Brian Sutterer said of Embiid's injury that he may need to undergo cartilage or meniscus transplant surgery, noting on social media that it would not be surprising to hear that Embiid underwent such surgery in the future, as there seems to be no better option at the moment, which usually requires a recovery period of 1-2 years.

Previously, the Bulls' ball brother underwent three surgeries after suffering a torn meniscus in his left knee, the last of which was a cartilage graft in his left knee. He successfully returned to the court about a year and a half after his last surgery and recently signed a contract extension with the Bulls.

With Embiid missing the remainder of the season, the 76ers are now in full swing in the race for Fleg, according to Sidery. If the 76ers do get a top-six first-round pick, they'll keep it. If it's a different pick, it's owned by the Thunder.

So far this season, Embiid has only played in 19 games for the 76ers, averaging 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. The 76ers are 20-38 and temporarily in 12th place in the East.
