Jeremy Lin posted that he didn't want to participate in this year's All-Star Week because he didn't completely let go of his regrets in the NBA

Chinese Taipei star Jeremy Lin, who is currently playing for the TPBL New Taipei Kings, attracted everyone's attention with his handsome appearance during the 2025 NBA All-Star Week. On the 20th, he posted on social media that before returning to the NBA court for the first time in six years, he originally didn't want to participate because he didn't completely let go of his regrets in the NBA, but it wasn't until he saw the performance of the players on the court that he realized that he was one of them, and let go of his unwillingness, grateful for everything basketball brought him.

To be honest, that's why I kept telling the team for the first few months of 2025 that I didn't want to attend this event. Since 2019, I haven't been able to completely let go of how my NBA career ended. When I look back, I always feel that I have done a lot, but I can't really appreciate and feel those achievements because there are still too many doubts in my heart.

But this All-Star Weekend has made me feel calm and grateful like never before. Looking at the players on the field, their skills, athleticism and talent all give me a sense of how competitive this league is. That's when I realized that I was one of them, standing on this stage and writing my own story: the first four games of my NBA career, nine seasons in the NBA, and becoming the first Asian-American player to win a championship.

As I get older, I'm not the player I was a few years ago and I'm not going to go back to who I was, but that's okay. I can sit back and watch the game, cheer on the new generation of players, and enjoy all that this league has to offer, without doubt, reluctance or regret. This All-Star Weekend, for me, was not about saying goodbye to the NBA, but about reconnecting with it in a different way. Maybe I won't be playing as a player in the future, but that doesn't mean it's the end, it's the beginning of another way.

Along the way, I have had a basketball career full of miracles and blessings. Maybe this realization came a little late, but at least now I am full of gratitude and truly enjoy what basketball has brought me.
