The 2025 European Badminton Mixed Team Finals have been held by Denmark and upstart France for the third time in a row

Will Denmark be able to continue their European badminton mixed team dominance or France win their first title? In the final of the 2025 European Badminton Mixed Team Championships staged on the 16th local time, the hegemon Denmark and the upstart France will compete for hegemony for three consecutive years.

In the final against France, Denmark had a clear advantage in men's doubles (pictured), women's doubles and women's singles

France lost to Denmark in the first two finals, and Denmark will achieve 6 consecutive victories in the European mixed team competition after 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023, and it is also the 20th championship in the history of the "Cold Dragon" team in this tournament.

France will once again reach the top of the European mixed team competition for the first time in their history, having lost to Denmark in their first two finals. The first mixed doubles match between the two sides has been announced, with Denmark's Toft and McGrande (world No. 13) taking on France's Giqueir and Drew (world No. 8); In the second men's singles, Denmark's Antonsen (world No. 2) vs. France's rising star Lanier (world No. 17); The third women's singles match was played by Denmark's Ryan Lee. Christophersen (world No. 36) vs. France's Hutte (world No. 63); The fourth Men's Doubles match was Denmark's Kjaer and Sogard (world No. 15) against France's provisional pair of Gigweer and Toma. Popov; The fifth women's doubles match was played by Boyer and McCann. Farulgat (Denmark) and Drew vs. Lambert (France) face off in an interim combination.

Lanier will face Antonsen in the Men's Singles and will be the highlight of the 2025 European Badminton Mixed Team Championships

The men's singles will undoubtedly be the highlight of the day, with the 27-year-old Antonsen being the long-standing and most recent (2024) European Championships men's singles hegemon, while the 20-year-old Lanier is a rising star in the second half of last season. In terms of head-to-head records, including last year's Arctic Super 500 Men's Singles first round, Lanier has won two previous matches against Antonsen.

Even without Men's Doubles world No.1 Astrup and Anders Rasmussen, Denmark still have a clear advantage on the books in Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Women's Singles, with Ryan winning all three of his previous three games against Huther.

Can France come out on top in mixed doubles? Gui is the only European mixed doubles player in the world's top 10, and Giquel and Drew are expected to win for France, but their only previous record against Toft and McGrande (in the 2024 Hero's Super 300) has been a loss. Guiquell and Drew will also "support" the men's and women's doubles respectively, doing their best to fight for France's hegemony.
