Shohei Ohtani has exploded for two consecutive games! The 300th combined home run in MLB and NPB has arrived.

The Los Angeles Dodgers played against the Colorado Rockies, and Japanese star Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, marking his 27th home run of the season. This helped the Dodgers extend their lead, and they ultimately won the game 9-7. Ohtani has hit home runs on consecutive days, achieving the milestone of 300 combined home runs in MLB and NPB.

The Dodgers traveled to Coors Field, known as a "hitter's paradise," where they scored six runs in the fourth inning. Michael Conforto hit a three-run homer, while Ohtani struck out with a man on second base in that inning, missing an opportunity to contribute.

In the sixth inning, Ohtani did not miss his chance to capitalize on a scoring opportunity, hitting a two-run homer to left field off a high pitch from left-hander Ryan Rolison. This increased the Dodgers' lead to 8-3, and this homer also marked Ohtani's 300th combined home run in MLB and NPB, with 252 of those in the MLB and 48 in NPB.

Currently, Ohtani leads the National League with 27 home runs, but the league's overall home run leader is Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh with 32 home runs. Yankees' Aaron Judge follows closely with 28 home runs, placing Ohtani in third. Behind him is Diamondbacks slugger Eugenio Suárez with 25 home runs, but Suárez was hit by a pitch on the hand yesterday, and it's still uncertain if he will be sidelined.

In terms of OPS, Raleigh, Judge, and Ohtani are the only three players in the league with a figure above 1. Among them, Judge's OPS is an impressive 1.188, Raleigh's is 1.053, and Ohtani's stands at 1.017.
