On June 21 local time, in the women's doubles final of the 2025 WTT Star Challenge in Ljubljana, the Japanese duo Mizuki Zhangben (17 years old, from Kinoshita) and Sayaka Oda (21 years old, from MikiHouse) defeated the Korean pair Hyo-joo Choi (27 years old) and Yu-bin Shin (20 years old) with a score of 3-1, winning the championship in their first partnership.

This was the first time Mizuki Zhangben and Sayaka Oda teamed up in an international tournament, making it all the way to the women's doubles final, where they faced experienced Korean players who had participated in the Olympics. In the first game, Mizuki Zhangben and Sayaka Oda took the lead with a score of 12-10, followed by another win in the next game at 11-4, seemingly on track to sweep the championship.

In a competitive third game, the Korean pair Hyo-joo Choi and Yu-bin Shin managed to win back a game with a score of 11-9, but in the fourth game, the Japanese duo quickly took control by scoring the first three points and ultimately closed out the match with an 11-5 victory. Japanese media reported afterwards that this was the first pairing of the two right-handed players, and they unexpectedly achieved the remarkable feat of standing on the highest podium of the women's doubles at the 2025 WTT Star Challenge in Ljubljana.
