Receiving the marriage certificate signifies that Wong Yew Sin and Japan's women's singles beauty, Ayaka Daibori, are officially married. Wong Yew Sin, a Melaka native, successfully proposed to Ayaka Daibori on March 27 of this year, culminating in this cross-cultural romance. Now, as Wong Yew Sin places the wedding ring on his wife Ayaka Daibori during the registration ceremony, their love story is officially "sealed." The 30-year-old Wong Yew Sin is a Malaysian badminton men's doubles player who won a bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships.

Ayaka Daibori, 29, has had an equally impressive badminton career. In her second year at Fukuyama High School in 2013, she won the women's singles championship for Japan at the Asian Youth (under 19) Badminton Championships. She also secured a silver medal at the World Junior Badminton Championships, being regarded as a promising player by the Japanese badminton community. After graduating high school in 2015, Ayaka Daibori joined NTT East Japan and transferred to Tonami Transportation in 2016. She won the women's singles title at the 2017 US Badminton Open and joined the Japanese national badminton team in 2018 as a member of the first team. Although she was demoted to the second team in 2021, she made her debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics, reaching the women's singles quarterfinals.

Additionally, Ayaka Daibori won the women's singles bronze medal at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games and claimed victory at the Super 300 Thailand Badminton Masters in 2024, earning her first Super Series title.
