This was Chen Pin-An's first medal match in an international competition. Although he felt a bit nervous during the pre-match training, his confidence soared after shooting three consecutive 10-point arrows in the first round, leading 30:28. After Urita Yui responded with a score of 28:27 in the second round, coach Guo Zhenwei began giving him crucial advice on what to focus on. Chen Pin-An lived up to expectations, winning again with scores of 29:26 and 28:27, beautifully clinching the bronze medal.
