MLB Los Angeles Dodgers have been renovating Dodger Stadium at the end of the season, and club president Stan Kasten was interviewed by local media in Los Angeles to reveal the main elements of the stadium renovation project.
Last season, the Dodgers, with Shohei Ohtani, increased their corporate sponsorship revenue by $70 million alone, and ticket and merchandise sales increased a lot, and the club returned the profits to the players, investing $100 million in the renovation of the stadium.
Stan Kasten did not disclose the exact part of the renovation, but he said it was "mainly for the renovation and expansion of the players' lounge, which has been expanded by 40 per cent." He also said that there will be an additional indoor hitting area, with state-of-the-art equipment, to meet the needs of the players, and the space available to the players will be expanded by 30 percent.
According to reports, the renovation project is being rushed, and the Dodgers will go to Japan on March 18-19 to play two overseas games against the Cubs, and then return to the United States to play the last spring training warm-up game against the Angels on the 23rd of the same month, after which the entire renovation project will be completed.
