Cui Minjing won the women's 500m short track speed skating final of the 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games held at the Heilongjiang Provincial Ice Training Center Complex in Harbin, China, on the 8th with a time of 43.016 seconds, followed by Kumquat Li (43.105 seconds) and Li Suyan (43.203 seconds).

On the 8th, at the award ceremony of the women's 500-meter final of the Asian Winter Games, Cui Minjing, who won the gold medal, Kumquat Li, who won the silver medal, and Li Suyan, the third runner-up, were taking a group photo.

Choi Min-jeong's short track speed skating women's 500m gold medal on the same day was the sixth gold medal won by the Korean team at this Asian Winter Games after the short track speed skating mixed 2000m relay and women's 1500m (Juri), men's 1500m (Park Ji-won), freestyle skiing men's halfpipe (Lee Seung-hoon), and speed skating women's 100m (Lee Na-hyun). This is also the first time that a South Korean woman has won the women's 500m short track speed skating event at the Asian Winter Games.

Choi Minjing and Kumquat Li, who participated in the short track speed skating mixed 2000m relay, won the double championship of the competition, and South Korea's first brother Park Ji-won, who won the short track speed skating mixed 2000m relay championship with the team, also won the double championship of this Asian Winter Games.
