The Korean short track speed skating team ranked 1st~2nd in the men's and women's 1500m quarterfinals, the first event held on the day. Kumquat Li, who was the first to appear, calmly finished first in the second group of the women's 1500m quarterfinals. In the mixed 2000m quarterfinals group 3 competition with Kim Keon-woo, Kim Tae-sung, Shim Seok-hee and Roh Do-hee, the South Korean team easily overtook Singapore and India to top the group.
